Default Townes Van Zandt....Need Tab

Has anyone tabbed out "If I Needed You" by TVZ? Tabs on the net are incomplete and/or inaccurate.

I would greatly appreciate someone sharing. I'm just beginning to learn some fingerstyle stuff, and this is a classic/standard that I am anxious to learn. I am also hoping it will provide a good foundation in travis picking.

'ppreciate your help!

I've seen this tab, and I think it's on the right track, but I wish they had given more of the bass line....it gets tricky, and I never feel like I've got it quite right. Thanks for the help though.

This is such a classic song that i can't believe the complete tab isn't out there on the net.

The main bass part is on a bass guitar, and it's hard to hear how much is on the guitar. IMO, a suitable alternating bass part (for solo guitar) ought to be pretty intuitive; it wouldn't need anything special for it to work, just a standard root-5th movement. It's the melody on the top strings that's more distinctive - and even that is often buried under the other instruments.
IMO, the tab linked to is enough to build on to create a good enough part. I think it would be a mistake to get too anal about a note-for-note reproduction of the original (other than as a learning exercise that is).
But I like the song (haven't heard it before), so I'm going to have a crack at tabbing it myself. (Don't hold your breath, but I'll either post it here or PM you when ready. If I get anything better than that online tab, that is... )

Ok, here you go. This is the intro, but it's the same thing (more or less) behind the vocal too.
An audaciously simple song...

Capo on 4 for the original key, btw.

Great song! I got down on one knee and played that to my wife before I proposed to her!

I play it in the key of D. Mostly because of my voice, but it is also even easier to play "the riff" i D.
