Default Neumann KM 184 mic-any opinions?

I am considering buying a Neumann KM184 small condenser
mic for recording my Taylors. Any opinions on this mic?
Does anyone own it or has used it?

Another question:

I have noticed that many artists use small condenser
mics on stage with no feedback problems.
How is this possible? Everytime I try
to use a condenser mike in a studio live it's
feedback hell even when I point the monitors totally away from me. On stage the artists I see have the condenser right in front of them and a monitor.

They sound wonderful.

Live, you need a good sound guy, not terribly hot monitors and a really good knowledge of what you are doing. A high quality mic pre in your board does not hurt either.

I have a matched pair of KM-184s and they are really great. Very hot, very detailed and very nice. A nice preamp is mandatory. I shelled out the bucks for the mics, so I couldn't go nuts on the preamp. However, you really owe it to yourself to get a decent preamp to work with these wonderful mics. Just FYI, but I got a Joe Meek TwinQcs to power the Neumanns.

You WILL NOT regret getting one or two if you buy them.
