Default Omega/Woolson Soundcraft Build/Finish

Hi all, another Omega to be finished soon. I ordered this guitar back in 2004 with a Ziricote wood set in Kevin's MJc configuration.
I had a good friend pick this up from Andrew recently and gave Paul Woolson the job of completing it for me. Of course Paul graciously accepted and it now looks like I may finally have it in my hands towards the end of August.
Some may remember that I tried to sell the unfinished body and neck. Well I had some inquires but no takers.

I really haven't played a guitar for over 4 months because of stiff old fingers and just plain losing interest so I sold off all my gear.
I am however pretty excited to be getting the finished product in my hands soon and who knows, maybe it'll give me a kick in the arse...

Paul needed to make a new neck and I let him use his discretion as to what would go on the headstock. Me being very uncreative, am very happy with what he has done on the headstock....

The top binding needed to be installed.

Bruce,

That thing is coming along beautifully. After seeing that neck and headstock, it sure looks as though you made a fine choice in going with Paul. Awesome looking, really. Luck with this thing, man! Hope the finished product inspires you to spend some time with her!

Best of Luck,

John

That really looks nice.... Paul's headstock design is really something special. Hope it inspires you to keep it around once it's done...

That's one of the greatest headstock logo ideas I've seen. Here's hoping that getting it in your hands will lead to lots of new inspiration and a reinvigorated passion for guitar

Looking good! I really like the design Paul came up with. I think your guitar is in good hands. Paul is a very talented guy. Hope you enjoy it when it arrives!

I just stumbled across this thread. Thanks all for the nice comments. I talked to Andrew (Kevin's son) when I first took this job. I wanted his opinion on what I should do with the headstock/logos. He said that I should use mine (only mine) which I disagreed with. When I told him I'd like to use both, he was overjoyed.
I think it turned out pretty well as a true combination of our efforts. Sadly, Bruce won't be able to have any tuners on this one because it will mess up my inlay work.

Bruce,

Good too see she's coming along so well. This one will be a head turner and, no doubt, a great player!
