I wonder how they set the auction price? If it hasn't been throught the courts or if no one's making the picks right now (I don't recall ever seeing them) then the patent's not worth the photocopy costs. Plus, I don't think you can sell a patent. It's owned by the entity(individual(s) or company) that filed it. You can sell the rights but all that would do is perhaps give you the right to produce and sell these things and spend a bunch of money in court to defend it. To be honest, the listing fees for that auction are probably higher than the patent is worth. |
