This is a recording made on the day when there was a knock on the door at Mississippi John Hurt's house......

I'm listening to me. If I listen to others then I'm not playing.

. I bought that back in the 80s. Creeping Death, Fade to Black and Call of Ktulu are all classics.

Mostly, I listen to music in my car and even then, infrequently, as I always have songs and ideas floating around in my brain!
Lately, the discs du jour have been some sound board recordings of the Donald Fagen Band at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, Ca (2006) and a show of Steely Dan's in Detroit (2000). Both are stellar performances; I was in attendance at the Oakland show and saw them on the "Two Against Nature" tour in 2000, although not in Detroit. Lots of varied songs from their catalogue (s); a real treat to hear!

Thanks Dru. Fun guitars!
Broken Window Serenade makes my heart ache. Makes me think of some starkly poignant short stories by Ron Rash. Last edited by tinnitus; 08-11-2020 at 07:50 PM. |
