I'm listening to me. If I listen to others then I'm not playing.

Mostly, I listen to music in my car and even then, infrequently, as I always have songs and ideas floating around in my brain!

Lately, the discs du jour have been some sound board recordings of the Donald Fagen Band at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, Ca (2006) and a show of Steely Dan's in Detroit (2000). Both are stellar performances; I was in attendance at the Oakland show and saw them on the "Two Against Nature" tour in 2000, although not in Detroit. Lots of varied songs from their catalogue (s); a real treat to hear!

Aldous Harding. I find this song and video particularly mesmerising.

Thanks Dru. Fun guitars!

Broken Window Serenade makes my heart ache. Makes me think of some starkly poignant short stories by Ron Rash.
