Good one too but I would hold out for the AP60 or 70 series. You can get a good used one for the same price and it has solid back and sides and sounds awesome for its size.

Save your pennies for a year and get the best sounding and toughest travel guitar there is - Rainsong P-12. Fits in an airline overhead with ease.

If 1-3/4" is your speed, I'd echo the Alvarez parlor (actually 00 sized) recommendations.

You may also consider a used Martin Dreadnought Junior - an awesome little guitar for the money.

If you're thinking 1-11/16", you won't be disappointed by the Martin LXM

I’ll give another vote for the Alvarez Parlour guitars, really 00 size. They make great travel guitars and are reasonably priced.

I'm going to suggest something I thought I never would in my life time,

have you tried out the new Fenders ?

there was a time when the only place for a Fender acoustic was nailed up a tree as a bird box but these latest ones have really come on a long way, I'd compare them alongside anything else in that price range.

would I ever buy one if I wanted a cheapie ? TBH probably not, would look out for a Yamaha. Nothing wrong with the Fenders as such, just know my way around Yamahas

There is no small and travel guitar.
You can get either small guitar that doesn't fit in overhead bin in a plane or a travel guitar with a tiny body.
If it's for camping or road trip, any parlor would do.
I recommend Yamaha FS###.
Scratch baby Taylor. Those are terrible when it comes to handling weather.
I have checked few and most had cracks.
Not a single Yamaha fg/fs I had had a single crack and I had over a dozen.
