called about it. wasn't filled with confidence.
restock is a guitar which did not pass factory inspection and they "fixed the problem"so that it could be sold.

no images available.

given that all that could go wrong is neck angle or truss rod on this type of guitar its not a bridge I want to travel on. ymmv

Seems MF is using the term to describe either what has long been known in the trade as "B-Stock" (also applied to brand-new, 100% functional items with cosmetic flaws), or the "used" refurbs commonly offered on eBay, Reverb, CL, et al. and stamped accordingly. In contrast, "restock" IME generally indicated an item that may have been used and returned within the trial period, showing minor indications that it had in fact been played and essentially equivalent to a "floor sample" or "demo" - all other factors being equal, I wouldn't have a problem buying the latter if the price was right - but in this case the word "deception" comes to mind...

You live, you learn...

So today, the Loar LH-700 Archtop Acoustic Guitar "Restock" Vintage Sunburst is priced at $1,279.00 while an "Open Box" one sells from $1,199.99

I would have thought a restock would be the same as an open box, but I guess not.
