I wish I had your space! I need to do this because my workshop is 12x20. But I have 10' ceilings. So, up is still available for storage. Hopefully by next year my floor space will be 24x20. We just need to find the right spot to move the photography studio to.

You own a pretty good piece of land. Maybe the local Amish could build a beautiful barn for you.

I have a completed headplate I am quite proud of. The flow is very "Butterfly". Sometimes being an artisy fartsy sucks lol. The top of my necks head is 3/4" too short for the "Art"! Sooooo, I am extending the head
Works or not I promise pictures. |

I didn't like the line up of the binding so I made a decorative "connector" For 150 years this Locust piece lived life as a fence post. In 2 years it will be a neck! More pictures soon! |

Looking great! I like the "artsy" approach.
About the locust post. Two years before it becomes a neck? Why? It's been around for a 150 years. I'm sure it's well seasoned. I doubt a couple more years'll make any difference, lol.

I am so attached to the headplate. Well, I was. Darn super glue! Its fine, I'm fine lol. We were at one for a minute there! On the neck wood. I need to leave it at around the 39% humidity shop for a few years to suck out the moisture. Or, when I cut it down it could bow. |

I have decided to do a good ol' truss rod cover on the headplate. Rather than navigate though the Butterfly hole.
I have made 3 covers. Now to pick. |
