Because now, in the very same post, the poster says that Gram was superfluous.

At any rate, for what it's worth--the Gram Parsons collaboration that created "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" is my least favorite stanza in the history of The Byrds.

What I was trying to say is that it is my opinion that Gram added nothing to the Byrds, at least initially. Anyone could have helped with the harmonies and his own stuff was in such contrast to the Byrds material and style that it just didnt fit. I guess they each saw that cause he didnt last.
