Default "The Mirage" Original song on a Beneteau SJ

Hi folks,

Thought I'd share a fingerstyle tune I wrote based on a piece of art made by my sister. (said piece is shown in the first few seconds of video). "The Mirage" is one of ten original solo-guitar tracks off my album "Woodscapes". Definitely keeps me in check if I don't practice it often! Tuning is DADGAD and the guitar is a custom Alpine/Walnut Jumbo from my Canadian friend Marc Beneteau.

Hope you enjoy and please feel free to "like", comment or share if you enjoyed

Dustin dude, this is my favourite that I've heard you play. A wonderful piece with engaging transitions and movements between finger style, percussion and when you went into that full rhythm section it just blossomed full on! Very musical buddy with exceptional touch and tone!!

Dustin,

I attended Swannanoa last month and on the morning I drove into Asheville, I started early from Elijay, Ga and drove through the Nantahala River gorge (stopped for a fun mountain bike ride) on the way to Asheville. It was an unseasonably cool morning so had the sunroof open and played all three of your CD’s on the way. It was the perfect music for the drive that day.

Thanks for sharing so much with us.

Cheers,

Bob

Wow, very cool, Dustin!

Wonderful piece with a lot of variety and interest and some very cool voicings! And really well played! I can see where you would have to play this fairly often to keep your chops up!

Thanks for sharing this!

A few sections are extremely inspired by his techniques, and some others are more Spanish style. Its just a weird tune but I enjoy it

Beautifully melodic work -- highly rhythmic and dynamic with a very sweet touch.
