Default Where can I buy a thin wooden floating saddle bridge in the UK?

I'm fixing up a old parlour and the bridge slots have worn down on the floating bridge especially on the low E, I've looked all over ebay and amazon and other sites but can't find a replacement, I can only find ones suitable for archtops, I would just make one if I had the materials and supplies but I unfortunately don't, does anyone have an idea of where I could find one or something similar? It would be much appreciated! thank you!

not sure if you can get in the UK, but it's Grover, so I'd expect someone can get Grover stuff.

I recently bought a couple of similar bridges from ebay, but the cost to ship them over was as much as the parts themselves. If you can't find anything suitable, you could try contacting Bob Chaffer at Vintage & Traditional Guitars in Lichfield http://www.vintagetraditionalguitars.co.uk/index.php. He restores old parlours and might have something in his parts bin that he could sell you.

I think you’re over-thinking this.

Get a piece of maple, your belt sander and a file.

Use the old one as a template.

Banjos, fiddles, etc all use maple for bridges, and unless I’m out to lunch it appears you’re not dealing with a whole lot of string tension and downward pressure.
