Yes. The Taylor is a hard guitar to beat. Both guitars have sweet tonal qualities and project well. The Taylor, as an acoustic, projects a bit better than the Emerald, but the Emerald has a cleaner projection when amplified (depending on equipment). The Emerald is the more comfortable guitar. The Emerald, with the veneers, is also, in my book, the better looking piece of art.
