Default Repaired crack that isn't a crack?!?

Hi all, I'm hoping to diagnose what exactly is going on here. I got this guitar used a few days ago and while restringing it just now, I noticed what looks like a bunch of glue on the cutaway via the soundhole. I would assume its a crack repair except that if you look at the outside of the guitar, it looks like a basic finish crack. It's not running with the wood grain. It looks more like a weird scratch as it changes direction.

The guitar sounds phenomenal so I'd like to keep it but I already paid on the high end for this model and if it does have a repaired crack, I may want to return it :-/

P.S... I hope my images upload! If not, here's the direct URLs...

I would wait for some further replies from some of the expert luthiers on the forum, but that looks like an impact crack not a finish crack. With an ugly, poorly done repair!

Is it structurally ok? Maybe, kinda depends on whether all that glue is the result of glue being forced through the crack from the top and just not cleaned up, or whatever it’s just been slathered on from the inside hoping the thickness of the glue will provide some support. I know which I suspect but couldn’t possibly tell without inspection (and probably not for sure even then).

If that was not disclosed in the sale, at the very least I think you should be looking for some sort of rebate, especially if you paid top dollar. You could then take it to someone who would repair it properly!

Always a complete pain when you get a great sounding guitar with issues.

Regards,
Clive.

I looked it over again and there is the tiniest crack... small than my pinky nail. It's under the finish and the finish on top of it looks perfect except for the finish crack which goes both ways from the crack.

The funny thing is all the glue on the inside BARELY hits the right spot where the actual crack is >__<

I may just do a return and choose a different guitar. I absolutely adore the look and sound of this one but I would be taking a loss on this one if I kept it and ever wanted to part with it.
