Back to our acoustic programming ...
I'm with you and Pura Vida.
I saw them open for the Cult in Detroit in probably '87, not knowing who they were. They just about blew the Cult off the stage. I flat wore out Appetite for Destruction over the next year.

Glad I caught them then.

When "Lies..." came out, you learned it all if you played acoustic.

Thinking about it, I picked up my first acoustic around that time frame....

Anytime a thread about signature models comes along, it's always filled with, "I'd never play a guitar with someone's signature on it."

It always makes me think of this. Never?

Yep 1987 opening for The Cult was my first exposure and saw every (original lineup and just after Izzy left) tour thereafter. A band in it's heyday until Illusion sadly let it all fall apart. I was pleasantly surprised when Lies came out it did reintroduce me to acoustic so I suppose Slash releasing his first ever signature acoustic some 30 years later seems oddly fitting and somehow "overdue".

Good point!

I wouldn’t pay the premium that usually comes with a signature model guitar although for a while the Bob Dylan J200 was really tempting me.

I reviewed the new Slash collection for The Guitar Magazine - you can read all about them right here

Here's the video if you're feeling impatient

It's a rocker's J45 so brash, relatively loud, grover tuners and a big neck. You might like it.
