Yet another "Ain't No Sunshine"
A couple of weeks ago, ThermiteTermite posted his version of this classic by the great Bill Withers, a song I hadn't thought of for awhile. It's such a soulful song. I started to riff with it, and this is how it evolved. I also was inspired recently by J-Doug who "put his neck out there" by singing "You are my Sunshine". I've never had much of a singing voice, but thought to myself, why not? So, here it is. Thank you as always for listening and I look forward to any feedback
(Also, thanks to Glenn for his recording advice. Glenn, I did the loud clap which allowed me to synchronize audio and video perfectly - thanks ) |

Great job, Larry. Love the guitar work and your voice has a very cool JJ Cale feel (would love hear a version of Cajun Moon from you...). Good stuff!

Hi Larry,
Very nicely done! Man, you have a very nice, laid back bluesy style that works very well for that song! I'm so glad the advice of using a hand clap to allow synchronization worked well for you! How cool! - Glenn

Great arrangement, great execution. Thank you.
The back lighting from the closed blinds creates a dark mood that dovetails nicely with the song. When I first saw it I thought "Whoa, that doesn't work", but it does. |

Thank you so much, Fred, for listening and your comment!
Thanks Glenn! I am drawn to these types of songs. And the hand clap made synchronizing so easy. Your support, comments and assistance are so much appreciated! |

Thanks Mike! And thanks for commenting on the lighting. I thought about that when deciding on camera placement, and decided that a dark backlit mood was appropriate for this song. I also used the "blast" filter in iMovie which made it look even "moodier". Thanks for your comment!
