Cutting pickguard from blank
What's the proper method for cutting a pickguard using blank sheets? Or, in my case, I have a large Greven guard that I took off another guitar because I didn't think it looked good on that particular guitar. I chipped it a little when I removed it, so I want to cut it down to an OM size guard. Any advice?

The Greven pickguard material is a bit brittle. It will work with much less chance of disaster if you heat it a little. Put it in a sink of hot water BEFORE you start cuttin'. I use a band saw with a very fine tooth blade.
Don't ask me how I know............. Mikey |

Stew mac sells a router bit for even beveled edges. I bought one then went pickguardless after all. If you are near SWPa and want to use it let me know. As I recall it was around $30
