No the tuning is actually standard with a capo on 4, but I have the guitar tuned a step lower than standard. My reasoning is actually not totally crazy as I do play in DADGAD, CGDGAD and CGDGCD. So I'll be in DGCFAD which is sort of a medium location between the three.
