Default B.I.G. III! Sept. 2nd-4th Now in the books!

It is a little early to make this announcement probably, but at the same time we have to begin our planning now to give luthiers time to build spec guitars and to align entertainers before they are booked.

The dates are Sept 2nd. thru the 4th. Labor day is the 5th. For those of you who are new to B.I.G., the location is New Braunfels, TX which is pretty much equidistant between San Antonio and Austin altho slightly closer to San Antonio. We are in the Hill Country in a resort area with tons to do, the Riverwalk, wineries, great restaurants, breweries, distilleries, museums, music, dancing, etc. We live 5 minutes from one of the coolest caves ever discovered. Many folks add a few days to the show and make a mini vacation out of it. We usually negotiate a block of rooms in a local hotel and will announce that shortly. We are trying to move to one a little closer and more convenient than last years. There are also a lot of AirB&Bs and VRBOs around that a lot of people book. If you are thinking of this last option, best to do it now as it is labor day weekend. Anything within 10-15 miles of New Braunfels will work fine.

Luthiers in no particular order:

Steve Kinnaird/Ryan Middlebrook
Ben Wilborn
John Kinnaird
Gage Halland
Urlacher Guitars.
Edwinson Guitars
Paul Woolson, Soundcraft guitars.
Michael Kennedy (Kennedy Guitars, formally Indian Hill Guitars)
Two Hands Guitars
Michel Aboudib (currently studying under Ervin Somogyi)
Lamehorse Guitars (Jeremy and Chris Jenkins) and,
Gerry Humphrey and his Humphrey custom amps is also coming!

We are keeping pretty much the same format, Food, drinks, music, concerts, guitars, Catered BBQ, Bourbon, Beers, Cigars on the back porch for those so inclined, and have added a few surprise twists this year particularly for any spouses coming!

If all goes well, Frog and Toad will be playing for the third year running, and I have two solo entertainers signed. I am keeping those names close to the vest for now, but one is the most famous guitar player you may not have heard of but has toured with several famous acts (TS for one, yes, that TS) and the other has toured the world and has at least one Youtube video with over 2 million hits. They are both very excited to be coming as they have heard great things from previous performers or attendees/luthiers.

That is all for now. If interested please send me a PM to reserve a spot as attendance is limited to keep the feel of the show personal and intimate yet with amazing concerts and luthiers.

More info will follow. No payment required to reserve space.

Thanks,

Tom, Kathy, and Dash.

Looking forward to this Tom
I had a great time last year.

One guitar is nearly done for the show. I’m trying to get 3 or 4 playable by then. I’ll need a spare for when FedEx looses one

John, just invest in a four pack of the Apple AirTags…

And, if needed you can hang on to my newest to show off the full Pablo Package…

It would be fun to have all the cool kids try it out.

If I didn’t still have three of our builds I would be hard pressed to wait for it!

Woohoo….

I did indeed. And I definitely absolutely might not need another guitar. Although have to say John's Grey Beards intrigue me.

I will be there, ideally with my spousal unit and possibly one child. If all goes well, we’ll fly in a couple of days early, maybe stay a day or two later. Looking forward already!
