Hey Mooh, I'll have to check out Greenfield. Just found it on the map. I go for a lot of NS Saturday day trips with my cousin and visit a lot of spots off the map.

For many months, they stayed in an area known as ‘Tory’s Den’ before they made the move north.

It really brought home the tragedy of this war, as neighbor was pitted against neighbor (That’s a subject that’s often a very small sidebar in our history books). Fortunately, the refugees found a really nice spot in NS! Looks like they did pretty well for themselves, too.
Rick, I'll have a closer look next time I'm there. Yea, lots of Loyalists came this way from the US. Saint John, NB is known as the Loyalist City.

In no particular order I'd add the following to the list:

Bar Harbor, Maine
Sanibel, Florida
Charlottesville, VA

Lots of little towns I like in Canada and the US, but one that sticks in my mind is a village in Germany, Rothenburg ob der Taube.

Touristy, sure, but not at all in a bad way. Walking around there, having something to eat and drink (like the local Franken wine) feels like you've been transported somewhere into a make believe world. Warm, friendly people, old cobblestone roads and architecture, inns and shops. Lots of similar villages in that country, but none quite with the same charm.
Maybe it's changed now, but that's how I remember it.

Cowan and Sewanee in Tennessee are 2 such places . The entire area is beautiful with the Cumberland Plateau either under your feet or next to you .

We would make day trips to Westlcliffe, CO from Denver, 3 hours each way. Loved it so much we moved here. World class hiking and mountain climing, a lifetime of adventure.

And a grocery store and theater, which is nice.

I'm right over the mountains on 73, and south about 8 miles - Pittsford. I get to Rochester a LOT more often in the last year or so, since I discovered Jake Wildwood's operation...

Not a traffic light in sight. I could be very happy there.

No snow on any coastal part of mainland Australia Dru - Tasmania would be the exception.
I would need to drive to the Australian Alpine Region - probably about 5 hours or so from Eden.
