Default "Thumb Play" new recording

Started this piece as sort of an alternate thumbing exercise for some old defunct forum I used to inhabit. Tabbed it out but never recorded it until today.

What a great way to enjoy my 3rd cup of coffee!! Loved the winding pathways you've created with this tune, Rick. Really fun at 2:49 how you move up the fretboard ( and one other place earlier in the piece),, and cascade back down to the original riffs.
Just loved it!!
Best,
Fred

Delightful, Derek! I thoroughly enjoyed it. The lesson here for me is that I've got to spend more time on your website with your music and tabs. Every time I turn around, you post another gem. Thank you so much!

Very interesting piece, I think it should not be easy to play, the rhythm is very particular

Thanks much for listening and the comments guys.

Rémy64, yes it started out as an exercise for members of another forum,
so maintaining particular picking patterns and tempo was the idea.

Wow, is that good, Derek. Not just technically, but musically as well. Really nice, raises the bar.

Great to hear a "new" piece, Derek. A bit like Jorma Kaukonen? but more. Lots of energy, great playing, terrific recording. Thanks for putting that one together.

Hey Rick, excellent tune , I’ve been listening to a lot of Chris Proctor lately, this reminds me of him, very nice. Good recording, nice guitar tone. Like it a lot.
