Arrow SOLD: Collings OM-41 Gorgeous woods and Abalone all over it!

Collings OM-41 Gorgeous woods and Abalone all over it!

Another beauty that plays great and sounds great. I bought this recently and found it was a bit of overlap with another custom Martin that I currently own. Gorgeous guitar that I'm willing to let go to a good home. It is elegantly appointed with some sweet inlays and gorgeous spruce over Rosewood. Sounds and plays super. Condition is near MINT given the fact that it is a few years old.

Here's what was written about it before:

This is a gorgeous Custom ordered OM41 completed in Nov 2016. (so it has Bill's Signature) It features 41 style trimmings with 42 style snowflake inlays 1-23/32" nut, and a Collings handmade case. It's in excellent condition, some pickguard scratches and the case has a little scuff in the tolex. When I ordered this guitar I asked for colorful rosewood and Colling's obliged. The set of EIR on this guitar is stunning with reds and purple hues. Everything about this guitar is exceptional.

Condition clarification: the "scratches" mentioned by the former owner were only swirls...I was pleasantly surprised to see the guitar hardly looked "played"

Specs:

Nut Width 1 23/32 (1/32 less than 1 3/4)
Standard scale length
String Spacing at the saddle 2 3/16
Upper bout width: 11 1/4
Waist: 9 3/16
Lower Bout width: 15"
Body depth at tail: 4"
Gold Waverly tuners
Original Collings hard shell case

This is going to make someone an awesome guitar. Case is virtually MINT as well

Here's a little taste of the tone:

Gorgeous Collings indeed, Mike! So which is the real nut width 1 23/32” or 1 3/4”? Also what’s the neck profile? Thanks.

Rye, Thanks for the heads up on the nut. I measured the nut and it looked 1 3/4 to me, but I gotta defer to the guy who ordered it and say it must be 1 23/32, so I changed the ad accordingly (1/32nd less than 1 3/4). Possibly my ruler isn't as precise as I'd hope. If it is a big deal for anyone, please reach out to me and I'll get my calipers out and get it exact. The neck profile I believe is standard. I would need to check with Collings to be sure. All I know is it feels good to me and I like a good solid neck but not real chunky. I don't notice anything that sticks out as odd when I play it. Again, I'll get it out Monday (it's at my office) and look at it closely for anyone who wants a detailed description.

Hey Jerry! I think it is 25 1/2 (standard). I did measure it a day at so ago but in the midst of measuring a few more I failed to keep the notes. I do know it isn’t short scale. I’ll measure again if you want exact

Thanks for the question!

Stunning guitar Mike. Sounds as good as it looks. Extremely tempted every time I look at it. Great price, great seller and a killer looking Collings. What’s not to like?
