Default (Looking for) LapSteel/PedalSteel players

Lap or pedal steel, or any related instrument of that kind.

best place to find them is the steel guitar forum. this is the main site.

https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/index.php

https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/view...d75211905cffc3

and this is the steel without pedals sub forum.

i like david lindley, cindy cashdollar, reggie young and herb remington(who both just passed away). ry cooder plays some. doug beaumier, kay das, ben harper, barbara mandell, greg leiz, troy brennemeyer and andy volk.

i'm sure i've missed some monumental players. maybe others will add to this list.

play music!

I've played with Cindy Cashdollar. She's a fine musician.

The style I most sound like is David Gilmour's, though Ted Turner did some interesting work with Wishbone Ash and Yve Desrosiers with Sarah McLachlan.

And a sample of their influence on my work is HERE.

I'd highly recommend looking into Steinar Gregertsen's work. Sadly, he died a few years ago, but there's plenty of his stuff out there.
