Then what you have is not a GC, is it? It's an American Dream Ad27. GC is a Taylor line, like the GA or the GS. The title asked about this line; it did not say any guitar with a GC body size.

The AD27 is not a Grand Concert. It's a Grand Pacific which is very different from a GC. Grand Concert guitars' models always end up with the number 2.

I always used Elixirs, but am loving the new Daddario XS strings on my grand concert. They sound similar, but tame a little bit of the harsh high end. Will probably stick with them from Now on.

So far I’ve stuck with Ernie Ball Earthwood 11-52 strings on my 312ce. I like the sound - I’m a strummer, not a finger picker. I do not like D’Addario or Elixer strings. I know that’s blasphemy around here, but I like what I like.

My 322e 12 fret wore Martin Lifespan lights until about a year ago. After trying many strings, I am really happy with the mellower sound and playability of the GHS Silk and Bronze 11-52’s that it now wears.

I now own two Taylor GC format that are quite diferent and "need" quite different strings :

My Taylor 412ce 2007 (Sitka/Ovangkol) currently bares D'Addario Ni/Br as I dedicate it to play in DADGAD tuning.
Otherwise (standard EADGBe), I would uses d'Addario EJ-16.
I did not like John Pearse nor Martin MFX740 on it.

My Taylor 322 (Mahogany/Blackwood) currently wears ernie ball Al/Br 0,012 in standard tuning (EADGBe).

Just got a three pack set of Martin Authentics 10's. Put them on my Taylor314ce, I thought they sounded really good on that guitar. A day later my wife picked up the guitar and asked, what kind of strings are on this? When I told her, she said they are made for this guitar.... So there you have it, two unsolicited opinions! They were one sale at 11 dollars too. Being 10's they play real easy too.

I have a Taylor 812CE 12-Fret. I use D'Addario EJ16 (PB, light gauge) strings on this guitar.
