Default O Bem Do Mar - jazzy flatpicking.

Continuing my adventures fumbling about with a pick or 'plectrum' as we used to say in the UK.

I copied this jazzy instrumental arrangement from a Waterloo 'Scissortail' demonstration video on YouTube that was mainly improvised by Eduardo Mercuri made for The Music Emporium.

I have changed and added a few of my own things otherwise I could not have physically played it. Played on my Brook Lamorna in standard tuned down a semi-tone.

The actual song with lyrics written in Portuguese by the Brazilian Dorival Caymmi was written in 1954 and translated means 'The Good of the Sea'.

Hope you like it.

Well, Phil, wish I could "fumble" like that!
Beautiful job.....wonderful sounds coming from your Brook. I really admire that way you have taken on the goal of learning flatpicking. Congrats on this one.

Wistful tune, beautifully played, and lovely tone. No fumbling that I saw. Quite the contrary!

I love this Phil.
Very long stretches are some points, really clean and clear guitar playing.
Lovely guitar music.
Thanks for sharing this beauty.

Much appreciated. Flatpicking is difficult for me and I don't think I'll ever learn it properly. I'll just be learning the odd piece now and then.

Great job on this, Phil! Wonderful playing and sound!

You are getting very nice, round, warm tone from your guitar with that flat pick! Really well done!!!
