As Ben said, yes. I am to the point where I think of the soundport as a must. It would seem weird not to have it after having them on most everything I own.

Very curious about the mysterious "treatment" to the top...
Thanks, the wood is great and going to look awesome I think. The treatment on the top is over-the-top cool IMO, but it is still too early to reveal haha! Keep watching my friend! The sound, it is going to be awesome, has to be with BRW, the redwood, and most of all what Ben can do with it!

OK, I think for now I can show the sample of the top treatment. Ben was trying multiple things with samples, but we both really like the looks of this. What you are seeing is a sample from the same board, but it is laying on the actual top which should come out pretty much the same. It really brings out the grain in the redwood accentuating its beauty in my mind. Remember that dark outlaw is the theme, but this may blow that because it is just too pretty! Hate to lose my man card on this, but I love it.

It looks cool, doesn't it? I'm excited to see it on the whole top. I really like dark guitars.

Whatever Ben did to that Redwood, it sure looks great! The silking REALLY POPS!!

This guitar is going to be dropdead gorgeous… And I'm sure it will sound fabulous, as that's a given with Ben's work!!!

Carry-on folks and everybody have a great weekend

Paul

No it was not heat treated unless Ben left it out on his sidewalk in Reno!

Yes, I really love what it does to the grain, allows you to see things that are barely visible without the darkening.
