Cool `Flow Chart | Notes For A Dadgad Film Cue | Exploiting the Vertical Tablature System.

Notes For A Dadgad Film Cue (#2) | Exploiting A Vertical Tablature System.

Greetings

What I am sharing with you below is a system that is very much alive in my own composing. The key ingredient is practicing & elaborating along with the written aids of course, which for open or altered tunings would be difficult to notate on staff anyway. I use this system for song charts as well. However in the example below, the chords are plotted 'thought streams' for a solo instrumental guitar piece composed for a 3 minute film cue. The notes encompass 40 shapes in motion.

Chart

Cue (#2)

Notes:

RT= 3:15
'^, ^^, ^^^'= Specific voicing
'x|y': toggle, hammer-on, or release
monics= harmonics
| = 1 bar of 4/4
||= End of 4 bars of phrasing
bpm= rubato

Guitar: Low strung Taylor 414CE Tuned CGCFGC

String Guage | 54`42`32`24`18w`14pl

Notes reflect Dadgad shapes transposed 1 step down to Csus4 Tuning.
