**SOLD** Gibson 1949 Southern Jumbo
Selling a cool old Gibson! Its a Southern Jumbo built in 1949, has all the desirable attributes for the 'golden era' of J45 style guitars like long through saddle, tapered headstock, scalloped bracing, cloth strips on the x-brace, strips along the outside of the body etc.
SOLD! Last edited by libtech; 04-06-2020 at 09:29 AM. |

Few guys asked about the neck, its width at the nut is 1.7" (the nut itself is 1.74"), and the profile Id call a rounded C shape, .92" at the first and 1" even at the 9th.

Great buy here!! I had a 49 J50 that sounded awesome and was on par with some of the better late 30s D-18s I've played. GLWS

Just wanted to give a shout out for this seller.
I've done business with him in the past. Top notch! I have a '54 SJ so I'm good, otherwise I'd grab this. Love the late 40's/early 50's Gibby's. Last edited by teleboli; 04-01-2020 at 07:32 PM. |
