Molly Tuttle picking hand rhythm/lead video

Don't know if this has ever been posted here. I thought this was a great view of her picking hand at work. She talks a little bit about her technique as well.

This is a great view for teaching purposes...you can really see what she's doing with her hand. I wish more of the video/tutorial lessons you see online used a view like this. For both the picking hand and the fretting hand.

Seriously, thanks for posting, hammer. She is an incredible talent. The songwriter in me still gravitates toward "You Didn't Call My Name" as my favorite though.

It’s not just her guitar playing that is fabulous, her voice is too! The way she jumps up to that Octave note is simply great.
The cameras do a good job of showing whats going on with her right hand technique,but although trying to do any sort of imitation, for me at least, is a non starter, she is in a wholly different league.
I was so pleased to see her get the recognition of “guitarist of the year”, or whatever that award was called, it was very well deserved.

I've watched this video many times, just really enjoy her style, phrasing, dynamics and her very sweet voice. It really shows the uniqueness of her right wrist and cross picking style. Then she is able completely switch into a claw-hammer fingerstyle that is just as appealing! (she plays banjo too) ...such a graceful talent for sure, thank you hammer for sharing it!

Amazing! Great talent there. I love that there's no artifice, just great playing and singing. Doc Watson would have so enjoyed the music.

MT is a master player, no doubt. What I find most impressive about her is that she is equally talented as a singer and songwriter. She's got the whole package. Hopefully, one day, she may become a name that is widely and universally known.

Molly is amazing, can play mandolin, banjo, guitar, probably a lot more instruments. Love to listen to hear and watch her amazing ability to use a pick.

Agreed !! she is a super duper talent and I love her Gentle on my Mind as well !!!!

Molly is a phenomenal talent and a world class musician and songwriter. I love her version of “gentle on my mind” playing a 1945 Martin 000-18. Check out her videos with Lindsay Lou who is great also.

How can anyone not like her version of that song? It's wonderful. I was lucky enough to see her do it live last year with Rachel Baiman.

By great good fortune I saw her play up close last fall in a small room in Cooperstown, and I imagine she won't be coming through such an insignificant venue again, given her rise and talent, so it's one and done for me. I'm still high from the show, and working harder now to tighten up my flat picking.
