Default New Original: "Ramblin' With Wood & Wire"

Happy New Year folks!

Here's one that's been in the works for a while to start the new year. Once again the Doerr Legacy takes the stage in CGCGCD tuning! Composed last spring, but just recorded a few weeks ago as I tweaked it a bit over the summer.
Hope you enjoy! Best wishes,
Fred

A good one, Fred! Really kept my interest, lots of variety but the Ramblin’ theme was always there.

Hi Fred,

That Doerr Legacy always sounds terrific! Very nice, almost whimsical tune! And very nice recording quality! Very, very nice, Fred!

Hi Bob!!
Thank you so much! It's always great to catch reactions and I really appreciate your taking time to listen and comment.

Super gusty and cold down here tonight........not a night to be on the water! LOL!

Best always,
Fred

Hi Fred, I can only imagine the wind you’re getting. I’m 40 miles inland and it is absolutely howling. Thankfully my boat is undercover 15 miles up river… Although I did have a dream the other night that the cover blew off, frame and all, neatly deposited right next to the boat. Guess it’s time to pay it a visit

Thanks so much, Glenn! So pleased you enjoyed this one...........as with a few of my recent ones, I let them sit for quite a while and found a few new things....my patience rewarded! The very last ending of this piece is an example. Just couldn't connect with what I wanted to finish it off with a melody line, but not repeating anything. And then......one of those nights and it came together. ...changed up the picking pattern and found those last notes..Doesn't seem like much now, but I was pleased to wait it out and find what I wanted.
And now, on to the next!
Thanks again for the kind words and support, Glenn!

Fantastic Fred! One of my favorites of yours. Cool bluesy themes, minor themes, and wonderful resolutions. Just a great composition!

Fred,

Very nice as usual! My favorite part was the middle portion, but that ending took it out very smoothly. Well worth the wait.

It’s folks like you that remind me why I ever picked up a guitar.

Your guitar and your recording of it sound what acoustic guitars should sound like, I my brain of course. Just wonderful.

But it always comes back to the person plucking, strumming and fretting.
It gives me hope and vision of what is possible. It keeps the dream alive in me that one day I can make a guitar sing it’s song.

Thanks for posting this. I enjoyed listening to it very much.
