Default Is my home setup correct?

Hello,

I’m pretty new to amplification, effects, looper, etc... I’ve just bough some material and I’d like to know if my setup is correct in terms of signal quality and if I use the right inputs/outputs of my materials. I play at home so far and don’t expect to play in a different situation.

Setup:

Acoustic guitar with K&K pure mini > 1/4 cable > Boss pedal tuner TU-3 > 1/4 patch cable > Boss pedal octave OC-3 > 1/4 patch cable > Helicon Play Acoustic “guitar in” input > from “guitar DI” output, female xlr to 1/4 patch cable > Boss loop station RC 300 “inst L/mono” input

Mic Shure SM 58 > xlr cable > Helicon Play Acoustic “mic” input > from “vocal” output, female xlr to male xlr cable > Boss loop station RC 300 “mic” input

Then:
Boss loop station RC 300 “main L/mono” output > 1/4 cable > Fishman amp Loudbox mini “instrument” input

Questions:
1/ Do you see anything wrong in my setup?

2/ a) Should I rather run the looper to the “mic” input of my amp rather than “instrument” input?
b) if yes, is it ok to use the following cable that I already own between looper and amp? https://www.staggmusic.com/en/products/view/SAC3PXMDL
c) is there any interest to split guitar and mic from looper to amp or one unique signal is fine?

3/ I own two different xlr to female xlr to 1/4 patch cables:
https://m.thomann.de/gb/cae_1755309_patchkabel.htm and https://m.thomann.de/gb/the_sssnake_...audiokabel.htm
Is one better or more appropriate than another from Play Acoustic to RC 300?

4/ do I need a DI box in this setup?

Here are the links to some material mentioned if you need to check the specs:

Helicon Play acoustic:

Boss loop station RC 300:

Fishman amp Loudbox mini:

Thank you very much for your help.

The octave pedal should be AFTER the Play Acoustic or its going to mess up the Play's 'reading' the notes played by the guitar.

Thank you Mike. Very good point! I guess though it is only an issue when pedal is on?

Has anyone answers to my other questions?

Thanks
Nicolas

Is there any reason you prefer to use the Boss Looper rather than the one that is in the Play Acoustic? Just curious. I don’t loop much other than practicing at home.

Everything else is fine. I always use an eq pedal prior to the Play Acoustic. It just gives me a few more options.... quickly.

I agree with the previous post about placing the octave pedal after the Play Acoustic instead of before. Seems like a lot could go wrong since there is a lot happening under the hood of the Play Acoustic and it needs a clean signal to make that happen. However I never used an octave pedal and not sure what it is used for.

Thanks Marty

No particular reason except that I bought the Boss looper first. Two weeks ago I had never heard of vocal processors such the PA!

I went with the RC 300 because I liked the 3-track functionality and the independent stop pedals. I guess, as a newbie, I was looking for something “simple” (quoting because this looper is very rich in terms of functions and not that simple).

I don’t plan to get rid of it so far.

Other than Mikes suggestion for the Octave pedal it is the way I would do it.
Unless floor space becomes and issue I would definitely keep the Boss RC 300 it is a far more versatile looper
