Default Amplificator arch top

So there is a cheezy low budget music store going out of business in my neighborhood, and I had to go pick up some stuff I had on consignment there. They had an old archtop on the wall on consignment for $300, an Amplificator. I'm guessing it's either a Harmony or a Stella and my guess would be solid birch. Anyway, it has neck angle issues and the faux flame paint was very rough, but the sound was addicting as all get out so I offered half.

I view it as a project, but it was punchy and loud and felt rootsy as all get out. Baseball bat neck and skinny little frets. I'll get my $150 worth of fun out of it.
Anyone have any more info on it? It has that Stella vibe so I'm guessing. Looks to be late forties, early fifties.

I love the name. That's your new band - "Brick and the Amplificators."

Can this site grab pics from my computer like the Mandolin Cafe can? Big improvement over hosting sites

Yes, the Amplificator is painted in block letters flanked by eighth notes on both sides vertically from tip of headstock to the nut.

When I get everything stabilized I'll put heavier strings on it. It's pretty loud now.
