Default One is the loneliest number...

For the first time since...well, forever I’m down to one guitar (and an empty Hiscox travel case). Me and my D1AT are gonna spend a lot of quality time together for the next month or so. Then the fun really begins.

My preordered Collings CJ-45T should arrive next month...

In thinking it’ll be worth the wait.

Im thinking Collings hit a home run with that 45 model. Just seems right in every way. I hope pics and sound clips are forthcoming!

One, I don't think I really can feel your pain. I'm here for you, it you need a shoulder to lean on!

Nice! The older I get, the more I just want a few guitars that really do it for me instead of the pile guitars that rarely get played. One of these days, I'm going to have a big selloff and whittle it down like you have done. I'm not a dread guy, but that will be a very nice trio you'll have there come August!

Rev, your enthusiasm for the present and future, guitar-wise, just leaps from my computer screen! Doesn't suck to be you!

Just to stir the pot, I suggest you try a Yamaha LS56. Best wood from Yamaha's considerable stock and built start to finish (so they say) by a single master luthier. A boutique operation within a massive corporation . . . My 56s, LL and LS, are game-changers for me. Either can be had for under 4 grand + patience. Keep playing in good health!

Well Roy...if you can only have one (temporarily) at least you have a really good "ONE"! Enjoy that D1AT!

Did you trade in the Bourgeois? I didn't see it over in the classifieds.

Sold it locally to help finance the incoming guitars.

You’ve got willpower! I haven’t let go of any guitars yet to make room for the Edmonds. Trying to decide which 2 have to go.

I made peace with selling the Bourgeois to make room for the Edmonds awhile ago. The real challenge will be choosing which Collings to keep. I’m keeping my herd to two and can’t afford three boutique guitars anyway.

So keep the D1AT and return the CJ-45T? Or keep the CJ-45T and sell the D1AT (I’ve already got two eager buyers in line if needed)? Won’t know until I have ‘em both in the room. All I know for sure is that it’s going to be a tough decision…

You got that right! As John Wayne once said in a western..."I'd hate to have to live on the difference!"
