Nice plot! If you have a little more room container gardens are the way to go. From what I am learning.

You have great neighbors! Can the veggies lol

We've got a big fat woodchuck in ours which has led us to not waste much energy on the garden except for basil and some other herbs. I'm a master at catching chipmunks in a have-a-heart trap but I I've had zero success capturing woodchucks. Suggestions?

Several types of tomatoes, red peppers, zuchinni, cucumbers, bush beans, potatoes, carrots, radishes, watermelon(seeded-more flavor), pumpkins, strawberries, a handful of herbs. We mostly do containers on the deck to avoid rabbits eating the sprouts. Less work than in ground gardens. The the wife loves her flowers, several hundred bulbs and ground flowers and pots all over the yard. Its an obstacle course for mowing the lawn. What ever makes her happy.

Gardens are for little boys .. Real men have orchards!! I have an orchard of over 200 pears trees with 150 different varieties of pears and a few plums, pluots and pomegranates. No garden this year. Florida gets too hot to grow anything other than peppers.

My poor wife has been cooking for me every night for the past year - it's time to give her a rest!

Right now, just dirt. Head to rebuild our two raised beds.

Have some carrots and peas to go in today. Tomatoes and peppers in a few weeks. Might try burlap sack potatoes this year too.

I don't have a garden but my lawn has been invaded by what I see labeled in the premium section of the grocery store as being "spring mix." I feel blessed.

When I made our raised gardens I put chicken wire down first (keeps the moles out) then I bought a 4x8 cover to keep the deer out. Works well.

My son in law found the fencing panels (i think they are some kind of dog kennel panels like 10 or 12 ft high by 4 ft wide , which we simply flexed into the half circles and attached to sides of the boxes. The deer don't seem to want to go inside so it works great, and so far they have not gotten into the three right next to the covered front deck . We don't have moles so that is not and issue .

The panels look like reinforcing wire mesh that is used for strengthening concrete driveways and slabs.

Awesome homestead, by the way.
