Diamond Secure TieBlock System
And so, a forum member recommended that I try the TieBlock System. It enables nylon string players to avoid the wrap system of string tying. At first, the system seemed complex, but after following the directions, everything became clear, and the Tie works as promised.
But I don't like it. First, I like the traditional string wrap--it looks cool and it does the job. I don't think the TieBlock looks cool. Ball end strings have a cleaner look and there is this. The initial tuning takes more time than the traditional tuning with a wrap string tie. That might be a once-only thing, but it was irritating. I'm sort of dinosaur, I like the traditional look of guitar strings woven over the bridge and the ball and Tie systems don't do anything for me. |

It's hard suffering under the scrutiny of an observant uncle. But you got to love him, anyway.
