Default Emperor has no clothes.

Looks very plain to me. No rosette, binding or impressive work involved. All the youtube videos I listened to sound like a $500 box to me. A lot of production profit on this one for $1,700.

At the sale price ($900), a solid Honduran Mahogany, made in USA guitar with a Baggs pick-up and a hardshell case seems like a pretty good value. As a fan of the Martin 15 series for years, plain Jane suits me fine. Would I pay MSRP for this one? Maybe not.

I couldn't find any videos of this exact model, but Breedlove does have a link to a SoundCloud file on the guitar's product webpage. Didn't sound boxy to my ears.

If I weren't in the middle of moving to a new house, I'd probably bite on the sale.

Thanks for the PSA.

Austin

I saw the Musicians Friend's price ($1,699).

That's why I chimed in.
To all of those that have this model and like it, I didn't mean to be so derogatory.
I did utube search the model. I found 3 or 4 and they sound like their design features, weak.
Whatever guitar you like, that is what is important.

Would you like to post some examples of guitars in this price range that you would consider "strong"?
