Brighter strings

Looking for suggestions for the brightest strings available. In general, are silver or gold basses brighter? Are clear, black, rectified, or composite trebles brighter? If there are some already made complete sets, or if I need to mix and match for the brightest tones, please suggest some to me. Thanks!

Carbons are the brightest that I have heard.

Aquila nylgut trebles are the brightest strings I have come across, titanium and carbon trebles are also bright but titanium trebles sound strange to me. Savarez Alliance basses are fairly bright especially in a higher tension.

Doesn't Savarez make a carbon treble set? Perhaps a set already made with the Alliance basses and the carbon trebles would be a good all around bright set? Or are the Savarez carbon trebles only sold individually?...

I also look into the Aquila nylgut.

Yep, que Alliance trebles are carbon and they sell them in the 6 string pack: http://www.stringsbymail.com/store/i...image&pID=1004

I really like the Hannabach Super-Carbon trebles. They have this yellow tint and sound very clear and bright, but not harsh. http://www.stringsbymail.com/store/i..._image&pID=346
Never tryed the Goldin basses, though.
