Post *12 vs *14

I am looking for a used taylor, and am trying to pick between the 12 and 14 models. Anyone with reasons to go either way your opinion is most welcome. I am torn between the 800 and 900 series, with the 900 seeming a little ornate for my taste. Thanks for your views, as always.

My opinion:
If too ornate is a problem I would definitely look at the 700 series also.( a lil cheaper) It has basically the same woods as the 800 and 900.
If you mostly play lead with a pick or fingerpick with minimal or light strumming the 12 would very nice choice. It is the smallest and very easy to play in any position. But if you are going to play alot of rhythm, the 14 is better suited. It sounds good doing anything except heavy strumming. But the 14 is a lil bigger. If size is not an issue and you do not have alot of guitars of different sizes , then the 14's versatility wins out. dink

I am dealing with the same issue here. I have an 810 that I love dearly but do not want to take it out on gigs. I am thinking of getting a 12 or 14 to play plugged in, rhythm and lead stuff. I will be taking my Tele or Strat off to do this and am thinking that a W12ce or 612ce fits nicely here since it's unplugged use will be minimal.

Thoughts?
