Wish I could! I'm in the deep dark hole now - we're going into a refueling outage where I work 12 hour night shifts, 4 nights on, one night off for the next 2 months. Yes there's extra pay but at 55 I have more money than time left. Only a few more years (or one really bad day) until retirement....

Thanks for the reminder! The tulips may be slightly past their prime, but the Skagit Valley is always spectacular! Guitars can only add to the beauty. It'll be my first time - rookie player here - but I doubt it will be my last! Cheers!

Yes, I will be there with my duo (Notable Journey) playing and promoting Irvin Guitars and trying all the guitars I can get my hands on!

The weather outlook is sunny and low seventies - no rain forecasted!

I wish that I could join in the fun. Looks as though there will be a bevy of beauties to try out there. I checked the luthier list and lots of fine builders will be participating, including the maker of my latest guitar - Sparky Kramer. Have fun, Chris!

Best,
Jayne

Maybe. May always seems to be a bit heavy on the "out of town guests" front.

Sadly, I’ll be out of town that weekend. Sad to miss it!

I may take an afternoon and head up there.

Apparently there are plenty of other Seatown-area folks here.

From checking out the Custom Shop section, there are a lot of great guitars that will be at this show. I am hoping that some of the participants will take some photos and videos so those of us who can't be there can vicariously experience the sights and sounds. It would be very much appreciated!

Best,
Jayne

Just spend the morning at the La Conner Guitar Festival. Woof! Some really nice wood on the tables in the exhibiter hall. I've played six or seven parlor guitars that are heavenly. The one I liked best was priced at $9,000, of course. Why does a guitar like that always sound better than a $2,000 guitar?

Noticing that almost every guitar here has a sound port. I guess this has become the signature of the high-end luthier?

I'll be spending the afternoon at the cabaret demos. Trying to stay sober.
