Default yellow cypress / yellow cedar / alaskan cedar back and sides

I'm starting to build guitars and am wondering if anyone here has experience using yellow cypress (also known as yellow cedar or Alaskan cedar) either for tops or for back and sides in steel string guitars. I have found some material online talking about yellow cedar as being a good wood to work with, but very little about using it as a back and I have never seen a yellow cedar steel string in a shop or in real life.

Any experience with it?
