***SOLD*** 2000 Goodall MhS Standard
***SOLD***
This exceptional Goodall Standard was built in Hawaii in 2000. Top notch woods all around; AAA sitka/Honduran mahogany, ebony fingerboard, bridge, and headstock overlay. Curly maple binding. Very silky spruce on the top. Not a blingy guitar, the beauty is in the wood. Abalone rosette and fretboard inlays. Exceptional build quality. Schaller tuners, clear pickguard. K&K installed by Jeff Bamburg at Rocky Mountain Guitars, sounds perfect. Chunky neck; Nut is 1 3/4". I measure the scale at 25.5". Body depth is 4 9/16" at the bottom. Setup is just right for fingerpicking or flatpicking. Tone is hard to describe, but huge and powerful is a place to start. Chimy and woody, like mahogany should be. Lots of overtones. Properly humidified, non-smoking home. Setup is perfect, plays nicely. A bit of fret wear in the usual places. Any scratches or dings are very minor. One small tool mark by the jack on the bottom.
