JonCris Small bench luthier from the Philippines
I just wanted to share my on going project on one of the talented small bench luthier in the Philippines...
For the top board we opted to choose western red cedar for the sweet and warm tone it gives and as for the back and sides we choose the sinker narra(its been under the mud for 50+ years which gives a purplish color on the wood) Narra is simiilar species to padauk... the inlays inspiration is Philippine travel which features the Iconic places and national symbols in the Philippines... here are the first batch of the images ❤️ Last edited by Cymynet; 10-13-2022 at 12:15 AM. |

That all looks terrific! Can you say more about why the upper part
looks different on the inside but not on the outside? -Mike |

Cymynet, what a great first post! That sinker narra looks amazing and the rosette is great too. A couple of bevels are going in, so I’m guessing this guitar has a wide lower bout?
Looking forward to more images as the build progresses. |
