Looks like a Gretsch 6014 AKA Corsair up front, one of the very few 16" Venetian cutaway all-acoustic archtops then or now. Great little utility guitars as I'm sure you've discovered: lightweight, versatile (have their own thing going on tonally, which I happen to like), the good ones are very easy-handling (many if not most Brooklyn Gretsch hollowbodies/acoustics from this era have built-in neckset issues); kinda few and far between these days, even here on their home turf - and I wish I had grabbed one as a companion to my '64 Double Annie when they could be had for $100-150 back in the '70s...

Yeah, this Gretsch 6014 is in great shape and plays/sounds awesome. I used it in a recording/filming session yesterday for one fast swing song and it was perfect for that tune. |

Yes, they are great. I've never owned one, but played through a few. There is something very good and tube like in the compression. BB King used them for years.
Nice guitars and playing! Love your L5! |
