Default 12 string cut away, carbon fiber

Is there such a thing? and is it more, or less expensive than a wood guitar?

Yes Rainsong makes a Great Carbon 12 called the WS3000. I happen to own one and it is an awesome guitar in every way. Sounds great, plays fantastic and really sounds very even overall.

My wood guitar collection is getting smaller, & smaller these days as Carbon is just a terrific way to make an acousctic guitar that always sounds & plays the same.

I believe the Emerald X-10 and X-30 can also be ordered with a 12-string option.

Every Emerald can be ordered with the 12-string option (even the travel guitars and the basses!). i think that the best one is certainly the X20-OS

see this link to their facebook and this guitar gallery:

Plus one on this suggestion, Rainsong quality is second to none and their 12 strings sound great! You can try a Rainsong at any Guitar Center and see if you like it.

Here's a couple of custom versions of the WS3000 from one of our sponsors, one has the unidirectional top for a less carbon like tone and the other is what Rainsong calls the black ice top, a look that is really growing on me.

I don't disagree. Rainsong is outstanding and available to try at hopefully some store near you.
