I play classic rock in a four piece band. We don't blast out, but play at a good volume. I am hesitant to buy an amp with a 6" speaker. My two requirements in a gigging amp are adequate clean gigging volume and reverb.

Thanks for the reply. I got another question. If I got the cab that would make it 2 6.5 inch speakers. Would this give me the same big sound as a 12 inch speaker?

I just got an LBR1. I will gig with it the next two days, both alone and with a 12" extension cab with a Celestion G12M-70. It is loud and clean. The reverb is nice.

I am back from my gig with the LBR. It has plenty of volume. For my taste there is too much treble response. The 6.5" speaker may contribute to this. I have never been a fan of high frequencies. I have never in my 50-plus years of playing had an amp that lacked in the treble dept and this amp is no exception. The reverb is nice. I prefer my DRRI.

When I use my LBR1 I have the gain and bass at 12 o'clock, and the treble at 2 o'clock. We all hear it differently, but I think because I roll off the guitar volume for rhythm, which rolls of the treble significantly for my PRS McCarty Thinline, maybe my use case is unique.

On the floor, near a wall, or both, if practical, will boost the bass. I like mine on the floor.

How much do I like it? Enough that I sold my beloved '72 Fender Deluxe Reverb with no regrets.

The LBR is under 10 lbs, has GORGEOUS tone, and more power than you'll need for almost any practical situation. It's steel case is bulletproof and they offer a perfect carrying bag for it that you'll want to have also.

On a "10" scale, the ZT Lunchbox Reverb is a "20".

At $399, the amp is the steal of the century. I would have happily paid $1000 plus for mine.

So now you’ve had it some time. How you getting on with it? Can you make it sound full on a stage spite the fact that it’s a 6.5 speaker?

Have you used the extension cab? Does the to 6.5 speakers sound anything like a 12 inch speaker?
