If you're interested in Opto compressors for acoustic guitar, see if you can audition a JoeMeek SC2. They're from the '90s and can be really nice on acoustics. The JoeMeeks are a little different than most Optos. They are faster (in general) and can be dialed in to be more aggressive. But that makes them a little more versatile. Especially for something like guitar. I have 2 of them and really like them. I got them when a studio I worked at was closing. I passed on the TubeTech and ADL stuff and grabbed the JoeMeeks.
