The alternate tuning gives it the character, sympathetic resonance, etc. Im already maintaining tunes in dadf#bd also, so glad to add more to that hopper

Sniffing hide glue??? I just thought I have a bad cold!

On a more serious note (pun intended); the notes in the available gpx standard tuning notation appear to be correct but the sonority is different than in the tuning Shun Komatsubara used to compose the piece. One obvious example is the 3rd of the tonic chord, a critical melody note, is an open string in the alternate tuning in which Kujira was conceived. Also, the notes B & D (C# & E with the capo on 2nd fret) played on open strings create a much more resonant chordal effect than a stopped note with an open string. As well, the notes and chords fall under the left fingers more easily in the alternate tuning (DADF#BD).

OMG! What a beautiful piece of music. And the player was phenomenal as he poured depth, soul, and intimacy into the music. Very inspiring. Thanks for posting this one, TBman!

My idea of top notch playing. And, no slapping or banging. What a treat!
