She's one of my favorite artists of all time. There's a whole long story behind it, but I've met her numerous times, she's a very nice person and obviously quite a talented singer/songwriter. I used to (still do from time to time) cover Howl At The Moon.

In the early eighties I was going to school in Pawtucket, RI. My wife and I went to lunch at a place called My Brother’s Place. There was a band on stage running a sound check, which kind of annoyed me, I had been looking forward to a quiet lunch. But after a few minutes I realized, hey, this band is good! It was Cheryl Wheeler. I’d never heard of her, but what I heard that day was terrific.

I had never heard of Cheryl Wheeler before this, so I checked out some of her YouTube performances. She is kind of like a female Gordon Lightfoot. She's no longer a young woman, but she still sounds great...

I must say, I am delighted to hear her music!

She's really been something over the decades. If you poke around you can find so many of her songs and albums on line. She's got a really sharp wit and uses it to write her more entertaining lyrics. Still touring around too, lately with John Gorka, Patti Larkin and Christine Lavin (not all together). She also tours around with Kenny White, a great songwriter/keyboarding in his own right.

Wow, touring into old age is tough. I'm sure glad I don't have to do that.

Arrow takes me back over 20 years. man, i am listening to that song now after so long. it is as powerfully beautiful as it ever was. i remember being smitten by it when i first heard it so many years ago. i would listen to it over and over. thanks for sharing, i really appreciated encountering that song again.

It’s so gratifying to ‘turn people on’ to new artists and songs , in this instance the link in the original post to many of her songs with words and chords. etc is a real blessing, from that list I’m playing …Arrow, Gandhi, Quarter Moon, 75 September’s, When Fall comes to New England.
Now have any of you tried playing the songs of Judee Sill, try Lady-O.
