Default I’ll take worn strings!

When I spec’d my Tele build I got stainless steel 6100 Dunlop wire.

I’ve had it strung with D’Adarrio EXL 145 wounds and.013 & .017 plains for the past 6 months or so. I started to sense an odd noise when playing unplugged, and my hunch was confirmed: Flat spots on the windings!

It’s so nice to have fret wire that shows not a trace of wear, even at the capo location.

Money very well spent!

Gotta agree. Strings are a lot easier and cheaper to replace.
