Updated the recording in the OP with some tweaks suggested by my AGF friends. I increased the spacing slightly on the mics, changed the HPF from 105Hz to 60 Hz, and added a touch of reverb. Playing-wise, I set up a new set of Alaska Piks for my middle and ring fingers with a slightly longer "nail". That seemed to help my dynamics to get better tonal balance but I still need more thumb taming.
