Default "Lewis and Clark" - Tommy Emmanuel cover

It has been covered by many I know, but this song is so beautiful and haunting that I had to do it myself. Hope I did it justice.

Lewis and Clark

Happy holidays,

Very nicely done indeed! That's also one of my favorite TE songs.
I also liked your video back drop!

Nicely done, 220. This is such a beautiful song and you did a great job on it.
I would like to learn at least one T.E. song and this might be just it.

Thanks for the comments guys.

This one is easy to pick out the melody and learn song quickly, but I tell you, it is not an easy one to play smoothly. As actually none of TE's are. But this one in particular. It took quite a bit repetition, and still cannot play it as smooth as TE.

Mic - Shure SM81 and combined with Acoustic L. R. Baggs Para DI
EQ - just a touch. Add 4000 -6000 Hz (for crispiness) and cut mids (500 - 1000 Hz) little bit.
Reverb - Cathedral verb (Waves plugin)
Audio Interface - M-Audio Profire 610
DAW - Reaper
Video Editing - Vegas Pro
Camera - Kodak Zi8
Strings - Martin MSP4100 PB

I record video (via Kodak Zi8) and audio (via Profire 610) separately with green screen behind me. I edit audio in Reaper and render as a wav or MP3 (high quality). Then I import video and audio in Vegas Pro and sync it, edit chroma key etc... I render final product in MP4 high quality (youtube friendly).

LOL.
It is actually lot simpler than it looks. Main thing is to set up everything correctly and to play it well. Once you have that. Editing and tweaking is easy.

I was also old school until about year ago when I discovered audio interfaces for PC. I was actually looking for a good mic preapm, when I heard of an audio interface and I just fell in love with it. It sits outside of your PC connected via firewire and it doesn't use your PC's CPU, memory or resources. It's on it's own. That's how you can run it on a cheap PC. It has built in preamp. Very clean. I record everything via that. Bass, guitars, vocals and anything else I want. I have researched it for soo long until I decided for Profire. Very clean, excellent preamps plus it's cheap compared to other audio interfaces.

Here's what mine looks like

Nice job, 220! Very ambitious to attempt Tommy Emmanuel's Lewis and Clark (one of my favorites, too) but you pulled it off. The production was also excellent. Thanks for sharing.
